Milwaukee produces some really high quality tools so it was no surprise to see they were at the forefront of the cordless table saw market with this new addition to the M18 line of cordless tools. Introducing, the Milwaukee M18 Fuel One-Key 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless 8-1/4in. Table Saw Kit with 12.0Ah battery, okay now say that ten times fast. Just Kidding. But for the sake of keeping you coming back to read my reviews, we’ll just call it the Milwaukee Cordless Table Saw. This thing is mean. Check it out.
The Milwaukee Cordless Table Saw delivers the power of a 15Amp corded saw with a 24 1/2in. rip capacity. This saw is no joke, and was designed to cater to professional carpenters, remodelers, and general contractors. The fact that it is cordless puts it ahead of the game and continues with the push that many tool companies are making to create a cordless job site. The fact that it is cordless, obviously makes it portable which is a nice feature in the event that you are working outside your shop. Like I said, the Milwaukee Cordless Table Saw is an awesome option for general contractors or anyone working on multiple job sites who needs a table saw they can pack up and take with them. The Milwaukee Cordless Table Saw is also apart of the M18 System and is compatible with the entire M18 line. If you’re going to have a cordless saw you’re going to want a quality battery to get the job done. While it is compatible with all M18 batteries, the Milwaukee Cordless Table Saw comes with a RED LITHIUM High Output 12.0Ah Battery Pack. The high output pack provides 50% more power and runs 50% cooler than the standard RED LITHIUM HD packs. That being said, it definitely packs a bigger punch then the standard battery and allows this saw to run at peak performance. Overall, it’s a great option if you’re looking to upgrade your table saw, and especially if you’re trying to switch over to a cordless job site. Additionally, the Milwaukee Cordless Table Saw is designed to withstand various job site conditions, but in the event that something were to happen, it’s backed by the Milwaukee 5 year warranty and the battery is covered under a 3 year warranty just in case.
This saw is not cheap. Not only is it a high powered saw, but the cordless option adds to the price point coming in under $600 at $549. Like I said above, there really are not too many cordless table saw options so if you’re looking to switch to cordless tools, or just need a new table saw, it’s worth it. The fact that its portable and has so much power definitely makes it so you’re getting the most for your money.
Portability on a job site is hugely important. Everyone using the Milwaukee M18 line of tools has been waiting a long time to add this to their arsenal. So with these portable cordless saws being brand new to the market for the most part, you're going to expect to pay a premium. Including an enormous battery with this kit is a bonus. I love how it runs on a single battery IMO. With an awesome warranty and tons of features I think this saw is a solid buy for any pro looking to get a very solid job site saw.
