Vacuums are essential to any shop. Thats a fact. And if you argue that, you're a liar and just like to work in filth.... But with that. We're always looking for improvements and new technology. Ridgid has been an industry standard in the market for Shop Vacuums for a long long time. The new Ridgid 16 Gallon 6.5HP Vac is for sure a product to consider if you're in the market for a new vac.

For the most part a shop vac is a shop vac is a shop vac. But, for the professional its an intergral part to your work flow. You need a vaccuum that is powerful and has a high capactiy in order to help you not only keep the job site clean, but also safe. The Ridgid 16 Gallon 6.5HP Vac delivers on both fronts. Built for the pro with RIDGID's powerful 6.5 peak HP motor, this vac has a really solid amount of suction and power. This model specifically has a rear handle and larger rear wheels that enables easy maneuvering/accessibility. This is specifically important for transport on indoor and outdoor jobsites. Not to mention, it is backed with Ridgid's Lifetime Warranty. Which we all know is awesome.
This model comes with lots of accessories, including:
Another cool ad on for the Ridgid 16 Gallon 6.5HP Vac is a large utility bag that mounts right on the vac push bar that allows for onboard storage of all the small accessories we all tend to misplace.
The Ridgid 16 Gallon 6.5HP Vac is currently listed for $139.00 and as i mentioned, backed by a lifetime warranty from Ridgid. Which is hugely important. Vac's tend to lose suction and power over time, and being able to replace it for no cost is an awesome value add for this.
In all honesty, the sell on this for me is the bigger wheels and the accessory bag. Those two small additions make the Ridgid 16 Gallon 6.5HP Vac stand out for me. Its the little things that over time make something more valuable than what you already have. Add to that a lifetime warranty and i think this is a killer item for anyone in the market for a new shop Vac.
