An underestimated tool in every single shop in the world is the vacuum system. Most of us consider a vacuum as a luxury in the shop. Faulting for the dust pan and broom. I fall victim to this as well. It was just always easier to grab a dust pan and a broom. But in the years I have been building and especially with client work, a good cordless vacuum is a must. For years i under appreciated the convenience of the having a cordless vacuum with me when i was in a clients. So getting my hands on the Makita 18V Vacuum Kit i was pumped to put it to the test.

Coming in at only 7 pounds, the Makita 18V Vacuum Kit has a surprising amount of suction. Being ultra light weight, this vacuum is super convenient. It has up to 15 minutes of continuous use from a single fully charged 18-Volt compact lithium-ion 2.0Ah battery. 15 minutes doesn't seem like a huge amount of time. but in short spurts, its significant. I also love the attachments, that come along with the vac are awesome. Use can use the hand vac or with attachment for floor vac, which is a big advantage.
PRICE:
Coming in at $99.00 for the whole kit, which includes a 2AH battery and charger, i really think this is a steal. Batteries and chargers are on the rise, you're looking at a price of $119.00 for the battery and charger alone! So why not upgrade and grab a vacuum as well. If you already have a Makita charger and 2AH Battery you cant beat the price of having another one with the vacuum in my opinion.
MY THOUGHTS
Basically, I believe this handy little vacuum is a no brainer for any shop. I have used it to clean out the creases in my table saw, my CNC , and the toe kicks in my house! These vacuums are great for using in your vehicle and awesome for around the house as well. Basically, for the price, you cannot beat how affordable and easy it is to get one of these into your arsenal of tools. I really think all of us should own one of these, trust me. You wont regret it if you snag one of these up.
