If you have followed any of my builds, you know that I appreciate a good Makita tool. That being said, this Makita Cordless Circular Saw lived up to the expectations that I have set for any Makita product. Makita has become a front runner in brushless, cordless tools. They also pride themselves in the longevity of the battery life of their tools and the Makita Cordless Circular Saw does not fall short of that.
Powered by 2 LXT Batteries, X LXT Technology delivers more power, speed, and run time without the hassles of a cord. This is great because you get the longevity of a lasting high-powered battery, but don’t have to worry about the cord. In general, cordless models are just so much easier when you’re working on projects outside your own shop, so this is great for that. Also, the X2 LXT technology delivers up to 610 crosscuts per charge in 2x4 SPF lumber, and up to 320 cross cuts per charge in 2x10 SPF lumber using two 5.0 Ah batteries. Once again, I go back to the long lasting battery and how awesome it is to not have to constantly recharge the Makita Cordless Circular Saw. The motor on this thing is pretty killer too. The Makita Cordless Circular Saw has a Makita built electronically controlled BL motor that delivers 6,000 RPM for maximum performance and 50% longer run time per charge. I know I keep harping on this, but a high powered tool with a long run time is something that every tool company strives for and Makita really hit the nail on the head with this one. One of the reasons the Makita Cordless Circular Saw runs the way it does is because the BL brushless motor eliminates carbon brushes, which enables the BL motor to run cooler and more efficiently for a longer life. Not only does the Makita Cordless Circular Saw incorporate some pretty great and state of the art longevity and power technology, it also has some killer speed technology as well. The automatic speed change technology adjusts the cutting speed and torque during the cut for optimum performance. Not having to manually adjust your speed is a huge bonus and allows you to work more efficiently. Lastly, the Makita Cordless Circular Saw has a large cutting capacity at 90. This is great, and allows you to use this saw for a variety of projects on a variety of different materials. With the advanced technology incorporated into this circular saw, combined with the cordless feature and longer battery life, you really can’t ask for much more in a circular saw.
This bundle really doesn’t break the bank on pricing. Keep in mind, you’re getting the saw, 2 batteries, charger, and carrying bag for $349.00. This really is not an unreasonable price, especially if you factor in the longevity of the battery life and the fact that this is a cordless product. I definitely think you get your moneys worth with Makita products as well.
Makita is one of my favorite brands. There is no doubt about it, you can see from my content that when I have a Makita tool, I use a Makita tool. I love how compact this cordless tool is. It uses two battery packs and comes with both, which helps justify that high price point. Its also a saw you wont need to replace for a decade. Makita makes some of the best tools on the market, and its something that i truly believe in when i look into buying and using professional level tools.
