I Make a Cereal Bowl Out of Cereal & EPOXY!

It’s a cereal bowl made out of cereal — makes sense, right?

Today, we are starting a brand new series where I build things out of that thing. That probably sounds a little more complicated than it is, so you’ll just have to trust us on this one and see what’s in store. For the first episode, we will upgrade the average cereal bowl to include cereal into the bowl. So, if you are looking for the most unique and incredibly creative way to eat your breakfast in the morning, this one is going to be for you. But, if you aren’t looking to go all out on your cereal bowl, then this one will still be just as entertaining for you. Make sure you watch the full video to find out if our cereal bowl turns out or completely flops.

Cereal and Epoxy Make an Extremely Sophisticated Bowl Design

John Malecki takes you through his cereal bowl building process

The only way that we could think of holding this bowl together was with epoxy resin and cereal — shoutout Magic Spoon. They’ve got a colorful cereal that is going to look cool for the bowl, hopefully. I’m going to try two different ways to make this work:

  1. Submerge a bunch of cereal in resin and see if it settles, and then turn it into a bowl
  2. Put the resin in a vacuum chamber to pull all of the bubbles out

First up, we need to mix up some deep-pour epoxy. We are trying out Total Boat’s Thick Set Fathom, which I’m very excited to use. While I was mixing the cereal in the resin, it got me thinking. Is there a cereal out there that never gets soggy from the milk? If you know of one, please let me know. I am so curious, but I don’t think there are any.

The cereal and resin mixture sure did smell delicious, and it took so much out of me not to take a bite. Which is something you should not do; do NOT eat resin. This was a fun and challenging build, and we can’t wait to try this technique out with some more stuff. Check out the full video to see the final product, and be sure to subscribe to the channel to see what’s next in the series.

Tools and Materials

John Malecki and the boys show you their favorite materials for builds and cereals for breakfast

John Malecki speaking about Magic Spoon

Below are our top tools and materials for all of our builds, but our favorite cereal? Magic Spoon. Not only is it oh, so delicious, but Magic Spoon cereals are also a healthy alternative to the sugary ones. There are only four net grams of carbs, 0 grams of sugar, and 13 grams of protein in every serving. So if you are trying not to be the fattest version of yourself like I am, this is the perfect option. It’s healthy, and they somehow still manage to make it taste incredible. There are many flavors to grab, and you can use code Malecki for $5 off to try out Magic Spoon.
