So in the last few years I have become a toolbox collector you could say. I currently own 4…. But with that being said, I feel like it is a necessity to organization in any shop. I always am looking for ways to become more efficient. To me, tool boxes are always a way to increase efficiency without having to build anything! So when the Husky 46″ Mobile Workbench showed up, I was stoked!

So this box is packed full of awesome features and tons of capacity. Including, 19,650 cu. in. of storage, 36% more than 18 in. D units. Which is a TON of storage for the basic shop. The Husky 46″ Mobile Workbench also features a solid wood top with 1,104 sq. in of work surface. This is a bonus for those of us who are limited in space and use our tool boxes as a double duty work surface as well. Like most toolboxes these days, this model includes a built in power strip with USB and also includes drawer liners. I love the 9 drawer boxes with the deep wide drawer at the top. This is something i find myself using quite often. My deep wide drawer is home to tons of my awkward sized tools. Im also a fan of the locking drawer mechanisms and the ball bearing slides. The drawers open and close very smoothly. It also features some huge locking casters, which is a bonus for mobility as well as load capacity.
PRICE:
One massive aspect of toolbox shopping is always price. Some boxes on the market can get in the tens of thousands. Fortunately, Husky was able to keep the Husky 46″ Mobile Workbench quite affordable. Coming in at $309.00. Just remember when looking for a tool box you want to be sure to consider longevity of the box. This isn’t a purchase for the right now, its for the future. This box is solid, and well priced.
For those of you in the market for your first new toolbox, or are looking to upgrade your craigslist “craftsman” box, this is a home run. Priced very affordably and available in multiple colors, this is a great purchase. When it comes to entry level boxes, you’re best value is going to be in the details. I love the wooden work top, as well as the power strip with USB. With those points, and the price. This is a very solid purchase.
