Let’s face it -- as a retired college and NFL offensive guard, I’m a big guy. Supplying elbow grease for cleaning was never an issue I encountered. Regardless, I was excited to try out the Dremel Versa 4-Volt Cordless Power Cleaner and put my money where my mouth is -- could this thing out-clean the working hands of yours truly?

Specifications:

The first thing that blew me away with the Dremel Cordless Power Cleaner was how insanely easy it is to use. It fits comfortably and naturally in the palm of my hand while cleaning around the house, freshening up some of my previous products, or cleaning off upcycled materials I’ve pulled. From there I was blown away by the power of this little guy -- think of the Dremel Power Cleaner as a tiny handheld buffer. That’s the kind of power this thing packs into tackling everything from rust to grout lines was surprising and made my job so much easier. Rather than exerting myself with scrubbing, I could practically kick my feet up and relax while powering through some serious grime.

I’m not the only one loving the Dremel Cordless Power Cleaner. My fiancé has stolen the Power Cleaner from my workspace for some Spring cleaning, using it to power through some stubborn bathroom grime and even clean up our stovetop. What we love about the Power Cleaner is its 4 accessory heads, each capable of tackling different projects. We choose the eraser pad for kitchen messes, non-scratch pad for the bathroom, use the bristle brush and heavy-duty pad for my projects both around the house and in the workshop. She’s hoping the Dremel Cordless Power Cleaner will inspire me to tackle some more of the household cleaning -- and she may be right. I’ll get back to you on that.

The list of projects I can see this thing tackling is massive, now that I think about it. I can see myself using the Dremel Power Cleaner not only around the house and in the workshop, but for the weekends in early summer where we head to my buddy’s lake house and get the dock and boat ready to take on the season. Even so, it’s probably one of the most surprising additions that I now feel is imperative to add to any and all shop carts. The Power Cleaner has a powerful Lithium-ion battery that reaches a full charge in just two hours using a micro-USB charger. You can even purchase the Dremel Versa Power Cleaner Variety Pack - which includes three replacement pads - at Home Depot for whenever you find them wearing a little thin from use.

Pricing:

I was taken back by not only how affordable the Dremel Cordless Power Cleaner itself is, but how affordable it is to maintain. Now, whenever we find we need some replacement pads for cleaning around the house, I just snag a Variety Pack at Home Depot for less than $10 and my fiance (and I, of course) find household chores a little less tiresome. Happy wife, happy life, right?

Dremel Versa 4-Volt Cordless Lithium-Ion Power Cleaner Tool: $49.97

Dremel Versa Power Cleaner Variety Pack (3-Piece): $9.97

My Thoughts:

This is a surprising tool to add to my arsenal, quite frankly. But I’m blown away by how useful it’s been in both the house and the workshop. Tackling rust, soap scum, and dirt with one tool is nothing to turn your head away from, and the Dremel Power Cleaner is living proof. For under $50 I can’t help but grab one for both the house and the workshop for super powerful cleaning with ease. The Dremel Power Cleaner could really streamline the process of removing rust from some of your tools, and I wish I would have had my hands on one before tackling that major project. Now that I no longer have to supply the elbow grease while sprucing up my materials and projects and save time in the process, I get to spend more time reaping the benefits of my work -- which, at the end of the day, isn’t that what it’s all about?
