There is nothing more crucial than making sure you have accurate measurements for a project. While using a tape measure has always been a “go-to” and reliable way for DIY’ers to assure they have accurate measurements, technology is developing and more efficient ways to measure are appearing. The Bosch BLAZE 135 ft. Laser Measure being one of them. The Bosch Laser Measure allows you to take quick, accurate measurements in a matter of seconds and includes some other really cool features that can be extremely useful on the job site, and in the shop. If you’re going to take the technological leap of faith and trade in the tape measure for a laser measure, this is the one you want to trade it in for.

SPECIFICATIONS:

For such a compact piece of equipment, this tool really has it all. With an easy-to-read backlit color display , there is no question about what the measurement reading is and what the screen says. This is huge, especially when taking extremely specific measurements. Another great feature on this is the memory storage . The Bosch BLAZE stores up to 20 measurements for you so if you’re quickly measuring a job site, you can go back and review the measurements at a later time. According to the project experts at Bosch, the tool is accurate to +-1/16inch and also includes a default real-time measurement mode. The number of measuring features that are included is also pretty sweet, with this one tool you can not only do the default-real time measurement, but also length, area, volume, and indirect functions with an addition/subtraction capability as well. Another cool little add on feature they incorporated onto this is a digital bubble vial, which provides a visual reference when measuring horizontal distances. Being so compact, it is a great tool to just throw in your bag and take on the job site. Now, how much does something so convenient and accurate cost?

PRICE:

Coming in right under $100 at $99.97, this tool really is reasonably priced considering all of the features it includes. Along with the long list of features, the Bosch Blaze 135ft. Laser Measure also includes a canvas pouch, AAA batteries, and target cards. It really doesn’t get much better for something that you use so regularly and something that provides such accurate measurements.

MY THOUGHTS:

In all honesty this tool isn't for everyone. But the individuals the Bosch Laser Measure is designed for will love it. Being able to mount to a tri-pod and having a highly visible color display and laser are really nice features. Being able to use the laser in corners and against walls when measuring rooms and especially for cabinet work is an awesome feature. I personally like it for taking rough measurements in spaces larger than a tape measure. Gives me a very fast and easy way to get mock ups for client work. For 100 bucks its worth the time saving.
